What we do and don't do
Taxi Road provides taxi services to and from healthcare facilities. We are not contracted for non-emergency medical transport and do not work through health insurers; you pay for the ride yourself and will receive an invoice upon request.
We do not offer medical assistance or wheelchair transport. A foldable wheelchair, rollator, or crutches can be taken along.
When requesting, please tell us what time you need to arrive and if someone else is traveling with you. We will then schedule the pick-up time accordingly.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about patient transport
Does Taxi Road go to the hospital?
Yes. We will take you to the hospital, a clinic, GP, dentist, or another treatment location, and then pick you up afterwards.
Is this contracted seated patient transport through the health insurance company?
No. Taxi Road is a regular taxi company and does not have a contract with health insurers. You pay for the ride yourself. Inquire with your health insurer if you can declare the costs; we can provide you with an invoice.
Can someone ride along?
Yes. An escort may join. Please specify the total number of passengers when booking, and we will select the appropriate vehicle.
Can the driver wait during the appointment?
For short appointments, waiting is possible by arrangement. Call or WhatsApp us to discuss the waiting time and the appointment in advance.
Is wheelchair transport possible?
No. We operate Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Vito vehicles and do not offer wheelchair transport or medical assistance. A foldable wheelchair or rollator can, however, be stored in the luggage compartment.
Do I know the price in advance?
Yes. Calculate your ride using the price calculator based on the actual route distance and travel time. The displayed price applies per vehicle, per one-way trip, including VAT.
Can I request a round trip at once?
Yes. Outbound and return journeys are calculated separately, and the total is clearly displayed.
How do I pay?
By debit card, cash, payment request, or credit card. Business clients can travel on account.
